Where people get stuck

215 plans is a lot
to sort through.

Seminole County has its own plan list. In 2026, it had one insurer that Orange, Lake, and Osceola did not. Here are three common questions.

“There are so many plans. Where do I start?”

In 2026, Seminole County had 215 Marketplace plans from 10 companies. Start with your doctors and the hospital you would use. That step alone can take many plans off the list.

“What kind of plan is this?”

Most Seminole County plans in 2026 were HMOs: 153 of 215. An HMO usually covers care only from its own network, except in an emergency. The list also had 21 POS plans, 27 EPOs, and 14 PPOs, and each type has its own rules.

“Do I have to shop again every year?”

Plan lists and networks can change each year. The 2027 Seminole County list will be posted around November 1, 2026, when open enrollment starts. It is smart to check your plan and your doctors again each fall.

How we help

Help sorting
a long list.

Daniels Health Advisors is an independent brokerage, not an insurance company. We take Seminole County's plan list and narrow it to the few that work with your doctors, your hospital, and your yearly costs. Turning 65 or on Medicare? We help with Medicare too. If you get little or no tax credit, we can explain private PPOs versus Marketplace plans. Private plans may ask health questions.

  • Simple explanations of each plan type
  • Licensed in 30+ U.S. states · Paul Daniels, NPN 20986580 · FL license G065122
  • Free to you. Carriers pay us, not you.

How it works

Three steps, start to finish.

Start with your ZIP

Share your Sanford or Seminole County ZIP code and the ages of everyone who needs coverage.

Check your tax credit

We use your estimate of household income for the coverage year to see what help you may qualify for.

Narrow it down

We set aside plans that miss your doctors, hospital, or medicines. Then we compare the rest by total cost, and you pick.

What you get

A short list
that makes sense.

If you pick from a long list without checking, you could end up in a plan that leaves out your doctor or hospital. You could also owe money at tax time if your income changes and you don't report it. Once we finish, you will have:

  • A short list from Seminole County's plans, matched to your doctors
  • The hospital you would use looked up in each plan on that list
  • Monthly price, deductible, and copays compared side by side
  • A plan picked by December 15, 2026, so coverage can start January 1, 2027

That depends on the plan's network, not on which county the doctor works in. Search for your doctor in each plan's directory, and make sure you are looking at the right plan name and year. We can help you look.

Is HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital in every plan?

Each plan sets its own network, so the answer can change from plan to plan. Before you enroll, look up HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital in the directory for each plan you are thinking about.

What is the difference between an HMO and the other plan types?

An HMO usually covers care only from doctors who work for or contract with the plan, except in an emergency. It may also require you to live or work in its service area. Seminole County also had EPO, POS, and PPO plans in 2026. Each has its own rules, so read the plan details or ask us.
