Common questions
In 2026, about 1 in 4 Broward County Marketplace shoppers were ages 18 to 34. Here are three common questions for people who live in Coconut Creek.
Check the date your parent's plan ends for you. Losing that coverage can let you sign up outside open enrollment. You can often apply up to 60 days before it ends, and up to 60 days after. We help you avoid a gap.
Not always. A low monthly price often comes with a high deductible. If you rarely see a doctor, that may be fine. If you take a medicine or see a doctor often, a Silver plan may cost less over the year. We add it up both ways.
In 2026, 146 of Broward County's 197 Marketplace plans were HMOs. An HMO usually pays only for doctors and hospitals in its network, except in an emergency.

How we help
Daniels Health Advisors is an independent brokerage, so we are not tied to one insurance company. We pull up the Broward County plans you can buy. Then we check your doctors, the hospital you would use, and the total cost for the year.
How it works
Share everyone's age and your home ZIP code in Coconut Creek or Broward County.
We use your best guess of next year's household income to see what help you may get.
We look up your doctors, hospital, and medicines in each plan. Then you make the choice.

What you get
If you choose by monthly price alone, a high deductible can surprise you later. If your coverage is ending and you wait too long, you could miss your deadline. What you get from the call:
Each Broward County plan has its own network. Look up the hospital you would use in each plan before you sign up.
This is not a list of in-network hospitals for any plan. Networks can change each year.
Straight answers
Broward County plans for 2026 came from 10 companies: 22 Health, Ambetter Health, AmeriHealth Caritas Next, AvMed, Cigna Healthcare, Florida Blue, Molina Healthcare, Oscar, UnitedHealthcare, and Wellpoint. The 2027 list should be posted around November 1, 2026, when open enrollment starts.
Losing coverage on a parent's plan can qualify you for a Special Enrollment Period. You can often apply up to 60 days before that coverage ends, and up to 60 days after. Plan ahead so you don't have a gap.
Bronze plans usually have a lower monthly price and a higher deductible. Silver plans cost more each month. But they often pay more when you get care. If your income is low enough, a Silver plan may also come with a lower deductible and copays. Our bronze vs. silver guide explains more.
Don't assume it is. Each plan picks its own hospitals and doctors, and most Broward County plans are HMOs. Look up the hospital in each plan's directory before you enroll.
Some. Of Broward County's 197 Marketplace plans for 2026, 14 were PPOs. Another 27 were EPOs and 10 were POS plans. Each type has its own rules for doctors outside the network. If your tax credit is small or zero, a private PPO plan may be another option to look at. Some private plans ask health questions, and approval is not guaranteed. Some may not cover care for health problems you had before you enrolled.
As of October 9, 2026, under current law, you can sign up from November 1, 2026, through January 15, 2027. A court case about these dates is still on appeal, so check HealthCare.gov. To start coverage January 1, pick a plan by December 15. Outside those dates, you usually need a life event, such as a move or losing other coverage. Our Florida open enrollment guide has the details.
