Questions we hear

Medicaid ending?
Here's what's next.

About 10 in 100 Lincoln adults ages 19 to 64 had only a plan they bought on their own, the Census Bureau reports. People leaving Medicaid here ask us these.

“My Medicaid ends soon. How long do I have to pick a plan?”

HealthCare.gov says you may qualify to sign up if you expect to lose Medicaid or CHIP in the next 60 days, or lost it in the past 90 days.

“My pay went up. Can I still get help with the cost?”

Maybe. A tax credit is based on the income you expect in 2027 and the size of your household. We work it out with you.

“My child is aging out of CHIP. What do we do?”

That can open a sign-up window too. We compare plans for your child alone, or for the whole family.

How we help

Next-step help
in Lincoln.

Leaving Medicaid often means paying a monthly price for the first time. We walk you through the price, the deductible, and copays, one plan at a time.

Nebraska plans from more than one insurer go on one screen, each with its price after any tax credit.

If only some people in your home lose Medicaid, we look at a plan for just those people.

Lincoln plans don't all use the same clinics and hospitals. We look for the ones you go to now.
