Questions we hear

Military family
or veteran?

About 76 in 100 Cache homes are lived in by their owners, the Census Bureau reports. Service families and veterans here often ask us these.

“Does TRICARE count as coverage?”

Yes. HealthCare.gov says if you're enrolled in TRICARE or the VA health care program, you're considered covered. You don't have to make any changes.

“My family isn't in my VA care. What can they do?”

HealthCare.gov says dependents who can't get VA health care can get a Marketplace plan. Based on income, they may qualify for lower costs.

“My child is aging out. Is it the same as the age-26 rule?”

No. HealthCare.gov says TRICARE's young adult rules are different from the Affordable Care Act's. Ages, benefits, and other details differ.
