Questions we hear
Apex's median age is about 36. These are the questions young families bring us.
Yes. Having or adopting a baby usually opens a special enrollment period, and coverage for the baby can start on the date of birth if you enroll in time. We help you add the baby and check the pediatrician.
Check before you pick. Delivering at a hospital outside the network can cost far more. We look up your OB and the hospital in each plan.
You buy where you live. An Apex address means a North Carolina plan on HealthCare.gov, even if your company is in California or New York.

How we help
Before a due date, list the pediatrician, the OB, and the delivery hospital you want, then check every one in each plan you compare. Write the answers down, since a front desk and a plan directory can disagree.
Since we don't work for one insurer, we can lay out several North Carolina plans together. We figure what each would cost over a year with a birth or a lot of pediatric visits, and we check every doctor your family uses.
Apex is a commuter town for Raleigh, Cary, and Research Triangle Park. A plan with a low premium can carry a big maternity bill. We model a year with a delivery and a few sick visits so you see the likely total, not just the monthly price.
How it works
Ages, any due date, and your Apex ZIP code.
Both parents' pay, any leave, and side work for the year.
OB, pediatrician, and hospital, looked up plan by plan. Then you decide.

Yes. As of October 19, 2026, North Carolina has adopted the ACA Medicaid expansion, according to KFF. A North Carolina law would end expansion if federal funding drops below a set level. Pregnant women and children may qualify at higher incomes than other adults.
Sometimes. One spouse can stay on a job plan while the other and the kids buy a plan. If the job's family coverage counts as affordable, the family may not get a tax credit. We run that test with you.
