Questions we hear

Want to cover
your crew?

About 8 in 100 Purcell workers do most of their work from home, Census data shows. Local owners with a few workers ask us these.

“Is my business too small for a group plan?”

Maybe not. HealthCare.gov says SHOP is for employers with 1 to 50 full-time equivalent workers. At least one can't be an owner, partner, or family member.

“Do I have to offer insurance?”

No. HealthCare.gov says employers with 1 to 50 full-time equivalent workers don't have to offer coverage, and there's no penalty if they don't.

“Is there a tax credit for small employers?”

Under current law, there may be. HealthCare.gov says you may qualify with fewer than 25 full-time equivalent workers who earn an average of about $65,000 or less. You also have to pay at least half of their premiums and offer them SHOP coverage.

How we help

Small business help
in Purcell.

We start by counting your team the way SHOP does. Owners, partners, and family members don't count toward the 1 to 50 rule.

Then we talk through your choices. With SHOP, you choose how much you pay toward premiums and whether to cover workers' families.

If you'd rather help workers buy their own plans, we explain other choices too.

If you also need a personal plan, Purcell plans differ by doctor list, so we look up yours.

  • Help for small employers with 1 to 50 workers
  • Licensed in 20 U.S. states · Agent NPN 20986580
  • You do not pay us for our help. We are paid by the insurance companies when you enroll. Your price for a plan is the same whether you use us or sign up on your own. Commissions can differ by company.
