Common questions
More than 14,000 Seminole County shoppers who picked a 2026 Marketplace plan were new to the Marketplace. These are three questions Casselberry business owners bring to us.
The one that matters is your profit for the whole year the plan covers. Start with what you expect to bring in, then subtract costs such as supplies, rent, or equipment. If the year changes course, update the Marketplace so your credit keeps up.
Possibly, but it may shrink. As of October 13, 2026, under current law, the larger credits from recent years ended after 2025, and Congress has not renewed them. Households above 400% of the poverty level generally get no credit.
Only if that doctor is in the plan. HMOs made up 153 of Seminole County's 215 Marketplace plans for 2026. An HMO usually covers care only inside its network, except in an emergency.

How we help
No single insurer owns our agency, so the choice of company stays open. We pull the Seminole County plans sold in your ZIP code and compare them line by line. We also search each one for your doctors and add up twelve months of premiums and likely out-of-pocket costs.
How it works
Tell us who needs coverage, their ages, and your Casselberry ZIP code.
We help you build a yearly profit estimate from your sales and costs, then check your credit.
Doctors, hospitals, and prescriptions get checked in each plan. Then the decision is yours.

What you get
Set your profit estimate too low, and part of your credit may be owed back at tax time. Look only at the monthly price, and a large deductible can surprise you. When we hang up, you'll have:
AdventHealth Altamonte Springs and Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital are close by. Not every Seminole County plan uses them, so look each one up before you enroll.

Straight answers
Seminole County's 2026 Marketplace plans came from ten companies: Ambetter Health, AmeriHealth Caritas Next, AvMed, Cigna Healthcare, Florida Blue, Florida Health Care Plans, Molina Healthcare, Oscar, UnitedHealthcare, and Wellpoint. Expect the 2027 lineup near November 1, 2026, the first day of open enrollment.
Yes. If you work for yourself with no employees, you can buy a Marketplace plan for yourself and your family. Your tax credit is based on household income, which for you means your expected net profit plus any other income. A tax professional can help with the business side. Our self-employed page explains more.
Line up coverage before your last day at work. Losing job-based coverage usually gives you 60 days to choose a Marketplace plan. Starting a business on its own does not open a window, so don't let that 60 days pass.
No. Each plan has its own list of hospitals, and most of the county's 2026 plans were HMOs. Search for the hospital in each plan's directory first.
Yes, but few. Seminole County's 2026 lineup counted 14 PPOs, 27 EPOs, and 21 POS plans among 215 in all. Each kind treats doctors outside its network in its own way. If your tax credit is small or zero, a private PPO plan may be another option to look at. Some private plans ask health questions, and approval is not guaranteed. Some may not cover care for health problems you had before you enrolled.
As of October 13, 2026, under current law, you can sign up from November 1, 2026, through January 15, 2027. A court case about these dates is still on appeal, so check HealthCare.gov. To start coverage January 1, pick a plan by December 15. Outside those dates, you usually need a life event, such as a move or losing other coverage. Our Florida open enrollment guide has the details.
